Special Meeting Regarding Executive Director Search
(Traverse City, Michigan) — The Traverse City Light & Power (TCL&P) board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, January 29 to discuss the findings of interviews regarding what qualifications and traits the next executive director should have. The meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Governmental Center and will begin at 5:15 p.m.
At the November 13, 2012, TCL&P board meeting, the board approved hiring Mary Grover, a local consultant, to conduct interviews with TCL&P board members, employees and city commissioners. The results of the interviews will be presented, along with Grover’s recommendations about next steps in the hiring process.
The public is encouraged to attend this meeting as there will be an opportunity for the public to provide comment regarding desired qualifications and traits of the next executive director.
"The board intends to develop a profile for the Light and Power executive director position, and we invite the participation of our customers and other interested parties in that process,” said Patrick McGuire, TCL&P board chairman. "We hope they take the opportunity to provide the board feedback as we begin the search for our next executive director."
