Update 8/3 6:20PM: Crews are continuing to work on restoring the last circuit, PC 32 located on the east side at the base of Old Mission Peninsula which is expected to restore 700 services including the Water Treatment Plan. Due to extensive downed trees and limbs, the restoration time is going to be later into the evening and there is a possibility of isolated pockets of outages within this service area that may remain out until tomorrow.

Currently crews have restored power along River Road, with approximately 50 customers and are working their way up East Traverse Highway towards Carter Road with the restoration of approximately 30 customers so far.

Crews have been dispatched to the Seventh Street area. At this time we do not have an estimated restoration time. Once again we want to thank all of our customers for their continued patience as we work through the night to get the power back on.

Initial restoration time was originally estimated for noon today. However, this was extended to 5:00pm, but may be later due to extensive downed trees and limbs.

Dispatched crews through mutual aid are currently on site to assist with this restoration. Once complete they will move on to the isolated pockets of outages that remain throughout the City. The extent of the damage is significant and we appreciate your patience.

However, there are isolated pockets that could take up to 1-2 days for full restoration. Additional out of area crews have been dispatched to assist. If you have downed power lines, assume they are energized and call 231-922-4940 to report.
