Dezelski Promoted to New L&P Marketing Position
(Traverse City, Michigan) — Jessica Dezelski, Administrative Assistant at Traverse City Light & Power has been promoted to Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator. This is a new position recommended by Ed Rice, Executive Director of L&P, which was approved by the L&P Board when he updated the utility’s organizational chart in February. According to Rice, Dezelski will focus on an expanding number of marketing activities, including media and public relations; coordinating public events; maintaining the utility’s website; and the development of Light & Power public communication literature. Dezelski will report to Jim Cooper, whose title changes to Manager of Communications & Energy Services. As such, Cooper will devote more time to key utility commercial accounts and energy efficiency programs.
“A growing number of utility programs, including energy efficiency programs that encourage a reduction of power consumption by our customers, are increasing the overall marketing activities of the utility,” said Rice. “This new position will provide increased customer communications in addition to fulfilling measurement and reporting requirements mandated by many of these programs.”
Dezelski originally joined L&P in 2008. Previously, she was an Administrative Assistant at the Traverse Health Clinic and Coalition and also worked in Provider Services. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University which she earned in May, 2008.
