L&P Seeking Community Input on Strategic Plan

(Traverse City, Michigan) —Traverse City Light & Power’s (L&P) Board of Directors will be holding a Strategic Planning Open House on February 23, 2011, at the Governmental Center’s (400 Boardman Ave.) second floor County Training Room from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the open house is to offer an opportunity for community members to provide input to the L&P strategic goal development process.

“This Open House is designed for community members to have one on one time with L&P Board members in a casual environment,” said Mike Coco, L&P Board Chairman. “The Board is seeking community input prior to going into official strategic planning for 2011.”

According to Coco, some L&P Board members will additionally be convening meetings with other regional groups who have engaged the organization on various issues over the last year.

L&P’s official strategic planning meeting is scheduled for February 24, 2011, at Cambria Suites (255 Munson Ave.) in the Old Mission Room from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend this meeting.

Current mission and vision statements and the strategic goals can be found on the L&P website (tclp.org/strategic_plan) for review or can be picked up at the L&P customer service counter at the Governmental Center.
