New Site in T.C. for Christmas Tree Drop-Off

(Traverse City, Michigan) Traverse City Light & Power (www.tclp.org) and the Traverse City Parks and Recreation Division will be accepting used Christmas trees for recycling at a NEW location this year. Because of the dismantling and demolition of L&P's Bayfront plant, residents are invited to bring trees to Hull Park located behind the new Traverse Area District Library at the end of Hannah Street. Follow the Christmas Tree Drop-Off signs to the boat parking lot of Hull Park.

You may drop trees off between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday December 26 through Saturday January 22, 2005. Trees will be chipped and recycled as mulch for use on nature trails.

Details and a map showing the new drop-off site can be viewed at the Traverse City Light & Power website: www.tclp.org by clicking on "New Tree Drop Off Location."

Please don't leave your Christmas trees in alleys or on streets; the city will NOT be collecting them.
