Drop-Off to Recycle Your Used Christmas Tree!

(Traverse City, Michigan) — Traverse City Light & Power (www.tclp.org) and the Traverse City Parks and Recreation Division will be accepting used Christmas trees for recycling at Hull Park, located behind the Traverse Area District Library at the end of Hannah Street. Follow the Christmas Tree Drop-Off signs to the back parking lot of Hull Park.

You may drop trees off between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday December 26, 2006 through Sunday January 21, 2007. Trees will be chipped and recycled as mulch for use on nature trails.

Details and a map showing the new drop-off site can be viewed at the Traverse City Light & Power website: www.tclp.org by clicking on “Christmas Tree Drop-Off.”

Please don’t leave your Christmas trees in alleys or on streets; the city will NOT be collecting them.
