There was a Traverse City Light and Power Board Study Session held last night at 7:00, December 6^th, at Willow Hill Elementary School.  The  purpose of the study session was to present the original plans for the transmission line upgrades in the current transmission corridor running from Barney Rd on the west side of town, down Wayne Hill, and along Bay St. to the “lighthouse pole”.  Alternate routes and answers to questions that had been raised were also discussed.  Public input was requested and received on all aspects of this project.

It is important to note that the Board has not made any final decisions concerning the ultimate route.  This includes pole types, undergrounding wire, or route location and direction.  Your opinions are important to us.  Please attend our Board meetings which are normally held the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:15 in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the City/County Building on Boardman Avenue.
